After more than 30 years of serving others through military leadership, systems engineering, and project management, I found myself ready for a new chapter. When I moved from the Washington, DC area to beautiful Florida, I expected to continue my professional career in a new setting—but life had a different plan.
I embraced the slower pace and the opportunity to become part of my new community. Through my work in a local flower shop and coffee shop, I had the joy of meeting people, exploring neighborhoods, and discovering the special qualities that make this area feel like home. Those everyday connections reminded me how much I enjoy helping others and being part of life’s meaningful moments.
